Trash The Dress Refreshed!

Share

This is a Trash The Dress Session from 2010. I have been going through past images lately organizing them for my own reference, and while doing so, I decided to re-edit my favourite ones from this session. At the time I was really happy with my edits, but looking back now, I saw where I could improve. I imported them back into Lightroom and tweaked them a little bit, more to my liking. I wanted to share them again as they are richer and brighter! We had a lot of fun with this session. It was Thanksgiving weekend, so the water was cold and we even had cake to smash at the end of it all! Thanks to the ladies for being such good sports and at least testing the water out! Stay Posted for more Trash The Dress Sessions this summer! If you would like to participate in one, or schedule one for yourself email erin@transitionsphotography.ca and we will set it up!

Waterloo Park Engagement Session with Rizo and Allison

Share

Rizo and Allison are getting married in July, and I am so excited to be a part of their Special Day! We met up for these Engagement Photos at Waterloo Park, and I knew as soon as I saw them the colours they were wearing were going to ‘pop’! Amanda, Allison’s Sister came along, as well as their son Kayden. We killed 3 birds with one stone and got some nice Family Photos, and a present for Mother’s Day! I am looking forward to their wedding, because after spending some time with them, I am pretty sure it is going to be a lot of fun!

A Blue Themed Wedding! Sean and Erin..

Here are images from another Wedding I shot with Latte Productions. Erin and Sean, along with their whole wedding party were so much fun to work with. They made us feel welcome and part of the fun!
On a side note, I will no longer be shooting for Latte Productions, but I will still be offering Wedding Photography as a big part of my Services. There are lots of dates available for 2012 still, so if you haven’t booked a Photographer for your Wedding, I will be offering a special discount for 2012 Weddings!

Maple Fest at Saugeen Bluffs

We went to visit some friends on the weekend and stayed overnight, and also learned while we were there that Maple Fest was the following day. What a great weekend for a visit! Saugeen Bluffs is a Conservation Area/Campground that I used to go to every summer with my family camping, so it was nice to go back and see what has and hasn’t changed. We enjoyed some pancakes and sausage with Maple Syrup, and walked around the park looking at all the vendors. It was a bit cool, but nice and sunny and no rain! Perfect weather for a Maple Syrup Festival!

A Brief, but Scenic Adventure into the Woods!

We ventured into the woods yesterday across the road from our house to see what was back through the path. The trees are SO tall, and the vines on some of them are just as tall. There is a path to walk on, and it comes to a clearing where it looks like someone is logging. A lot of the trees are marked to be cut down. But, we did find some beauty – the path would make a perfect location for some Outdoor Photos this Spring/Summer, and we saw one single butterfly flutter by and land on a tree. I wouldn’t want to go back there at night, the Turkey Vultures that are nesting high above might get me!

What do you call a group of Turkey Vultures Flying? A Kettle!

We have noticed the odd Turkey Vulture circling around the fields by our house once in a while, then we noticed a couple of them a few days ago across the road above the trees. Then, yesterday, we stepped outside, looked up and saw a whole bunch of them! There must have been at least 30 of them circling around the woods across the road. They got closer and closer until they were almost over our house. I couldn’t miss the opportunity to get some photos. Unfortunately this was at dusk, so I couldn’t get a lot of detail, but I am pretty sure they will be back. I have a feeling they are nesting across the road. To some, it it creepy, spooky etc., but I thought it was pretty awesome to watch!
